My vision for Richmond schools begins with a simple belief: leadership starts with listening. We need a school system that supports both academic excellence and student well-being — guided by thoughtful decision-making, responsible stewardship, and a deep commitment to our community.
我對列治文學校的願景始於一個簡單的信念:領導,從聆聽開始。我們需要一個既重視學業成就,也關顧學生身心發展的教育體系——以審慎的決策、負責的管理,以及對社區的深切承擔為基礎。
Pillar 1: Leadership by Listening | 聽取民意
“Listening first. Leading together”
School trustees must serve as a bridge between the Board and the community. I am committed to listening with care, representing your concerns, and ensuring that decisions reflect the voices of parents, students, and educators.
Goals:
• Host regular community coffee chats and listening sessions across Richmond
• Ensure major policy decisions are informed by direct feedback from parents and teachers

學務委員應成為教育局與社區之間的橋樑。我會用心聆聽,真誠回應大家的關注,確保教育決策能反映家長、學生與教師的聲音。

Pillar 2: Partnership with Parents | 家校合作
“Parents are essential partners in education.”
With my background in family and youth development, I believe families must be treated as true partners in education. Every parent — regardless of language or background — deserves a clear, respectful, and meaningful voice in their child’s education.
Goals:
• Build on existing multilingual supports to ensure all families can access information clearly and participate fully.
• Create more opportunities for parents to engage meaningfully with the school district

Education must evolve to meet the challenges of the 21st century. I am committed to holistic education — ensuring students are prepared for university, the trades, and diverse career pathways, while developing the resilience needed to thrive in life.
Goals:
• Enhance mental health resources and strengthen support for diverse learning needs
• Build stronger pathways between secondary education and post-secondary or career opportunities

教育必須與時俱進,以應對 21 世紀的挑戰。我重視全人教育——不僅幫助學生為升學、職業技能與不同人生方向做好準備,也培養他們面對未來所需的韌性與能力。

• 強化中學與高等教育及職業發展之間的銜接

Every student deserves to learn in an environment where they feel safe, included, and supported. Schools should nurture not only academic success, but also emotional well-being and a strong sense of belonging.
Goals:
• Strengthen student well-being supports, including mental health services and inclusion initiatives
• Build on existing efforts to foster safe, respectful, and inclusive school environments for all students

Pillar 5: Wise Stewardship | 明智的管理
“Fiscal responsibility through an Engineer’s lens.”
Managing hundreds of millions in public education funding requires clarity, discipline, and transparency. Drawing on my engineering background, I will ensure resources are directed where they matter most — supporting classrooms, strengthening student safety, and investing in essential infrastructure.
Goals:
• Maintain transparent budgeting with clear priorities, including school safety and long-term upgrades
• Use data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency without compromising essential student services

教育資源來之不易,涉及數以億計的公共資金。要管好這些資源,需要清晰、紀律與透明。我會以工程師的思維,確保每一分資源都用在最關鍵的地方——支持課堂教學、提升學生安全,並投資於可持續的校園發展。

• 推動透明且有清晰優先次序的財政管理,包括學校安全與長遠發展
• 以數據作為決策基礎,在不削弱學生重要支援的前提下提升效率
